The Month of April 1865 -- Appomattox to Assassination

April 2025 will soon be here, and it's worth a look before it arrives. April 1865 was a momentous month in Civil War History. It began with the fall of Richmond, marking the end of the War. Then became tragic with the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. It ended with the shooting and death of John Wilkes Booth.
